Web Design Course - This two week intensive course
will arm students who have little or no web design experience,
with the skill set required to pursue a career in this
competitive industry. Students will develop a full understanding
of all of the industry standard technologies: Macromedia
Dreamweaver, Macromedia Flash, Adobe Photoshop, HTML,
ASP, SQL and database development. In addition to the
software training that the course provides, students
will also learn the key job-related areas of web marketing,
project management, design techniques, usability and
accessibility.

Location: Cape Town, South Africa
This
five day graphics course is designed to give trainees who
have little or no graphic design experience the skill set
to pursue a career in the design industry.
At the end of the course the
students will receive certificates of attendance.
Pre-requisites
Students must be computer literate although they do not need
any design experience.
Introducing you to the world of graphics (1 day)
Creating and altering standalone graphic formats.
Planning and constructing images in applications like
Corel draw and Photo shop.
Image cropping and blending.
Introduction to Video Production and Animation:
Methods and Technologies
Overview of 2D and 3D animation technologies:
Macromedia Flash, After Effects, 3D Shockwave.
Overview of video editing and special effects technologies:
After Effects, and Photoshop.
Introduction to current technologies: video standards,
streaming video and special effects
Scoping new project outlines project formats
At the end of this 1 day introduction you will be able to
scope and plan imagery in most graphics software
applications
Corel Draw ( 1 day )
Learn how to design your own images, logos, altering
existing images and photo formats in Corel Draw. Preparing
images for multimedia design.
Corel Draw paint:
Overlapping ,cropping and blending textures.
Blending colours and backgrounds.
Creating 3D textured text and animated logos.
An excellent way to start off in graphic design.
Photoshop:
(1 day)
Editing and managing your photographs, photoshop is the right
application for you.
Create original images or modify photos using a full assortment of
painting, drawing, and retouching tools.
Explore the endless possibilities of digital imaging with
solutions tailored for your unique needs.

Fireworks MX 2004:
(2 days)
Do you want to create you own animations, then this for you!
Creating and controlling flash movies with different graphic formats.
Incorporating sound, buttons and layers with your animations.
Creating 3-D animations in scenes and movie optimization. After this
course you will be able to have your own animations on site.
